Maegalith prend la forme d’un objet-bonheur immense, souverain, posé comme une fin à atteindre. Pourtant, l’objet est creux et parfaitement instable : le bonheur n’est pas une destination, mais un chemin sans objectif. Une seconde lecture en fait une architecture politique, celle de Trump. Ultra-dominant par son apparence, le monument ne tient que par l’image qu’il produit. Derrière la masse se trouve le vide ; derrière la promesse de stabilité, l’intenable.
Maegalith takes the form of an immense, sovereign object of happiness, staged as an end goal. Yet it is hollow and fundamentally unstable: happiness is not a destination but a path without a final objective. A second reading turns it into a political architecture, Trump’s architecture. Dominant in appearance, the monument survives through image alone. Behind the mass lies emptiness; behind the promise of stability, the untenable.
